MEATH’S TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship winner Emma Duggan has been honoured with The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for September.
Duggan (19) scored 1-2 in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Final victory over Dublin at Croke Park on Sunday, September 5, as the Royal County claimed the Brendan Martin Cup for the very first time.
On a history-making afternoon, Duggan’s long-range goal in the first half proved decisive as Meath claimed a 1-11 to 0-12 victory against their Leinster neighbours.
Duggan’s crucial haul capped a sensational individual campaign for the Dunboyne player, who finished with 3-19 in total from the 2021 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship.
That combined tally also included 1-5 against Cork in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship semi-final.
Emma was presented with her award today by Ina Lazar, Sales Manager, The Croke Park.
