Meath came top with four qualifiers for the semi-finals; one ahead of Armagh, Dublin and Wicklow with three each.

Cork, Kerry and Kildare secured two slots into the next round; while Carlow, Galway, Limerick, Tipperary and Roscommon also enjoyed success.

Among the shock eliminations were Fermanagh duo Joanne Doonan and Eimear Smyth (both junior player of the year nominees); Dublin’s Noelle Healy; Cork trio Saoirse Noonan, Aine Terry O’Sullivan & Ciara O’Sullivan; and Mayo AFL stars Grace Kelly and Sarah Rowe.
