PODCAST: SportsDaz Camogie – Tuesday, 11th May 2021
‘SPORTSDAZ CAMOGIE’ returns in it’s new slot on Tuesdays giving you the full update on developments with the small ball.
Guests
- Ray Kelly (16:03)
- Kilkenny vs Dublin preview (34:12)
- Brian Brophy (41:43)
- Antrim vs Down preview (1:01:30)
Darren Kelly and Killian Whelan look at the main talking points including increased funding, split seasons, club championship and fixtures calendars.
Inter county referee Ray Kelly joins Killian to give an insight and understanding into the new rules passed at the recent Congress. There is plenty to learn here including rules we mightn’r realise exist.
We preview Kilkenny vs Dublin in Division 1 of the National League. The All-Ireland champions are overwhelming favourites but the appointment of Adrian O’Sullivan has given a boost to the game in the capital.
Lucan Sarsfields coach Brian Brophy, who currently works with the Kilkenny under 16s, and was with Dublin last year, discusses the impact that the pandemic and calendar has on underage camogie.
And we also look ahead to the action in Division 2 as Antrim and Down meet in a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland intermediate final. Can the Mourne women maintain their run or will Antrim achieve revenge?
