Darren and Niamh look back at last week’s opening round of the TG4 All-Ireland championships with big results across three grades.

Galway, Armagh, Cork, Mayo and Dublin enjoyed senior success while Derry produced a stunning result against Antrim, their first championship win in three years;

The result of the weekend was Longford’s 3-11 to 2-11 extra-time victory over intermediate championship favourites Westmeath in TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar.  Their manager Brian Noonan joins us to talk about the day and look ahead to their meeting with Wexford in Clane.

Donegal and Galway battle in Group 3 fo the TG4 Senior Championship on Saturday in Markievicz Park.  It’s a repeat of their league meeting but a Galway reversal will secure them top spot.

All-Ireland champions Dublin face Waterford in Baltinglass looking to cement their quarter-final place against a team that tested them last year and are determined to improve thier fortunes.

And finally, Cork vs Tipperary in Sean Tracey Park.  The Rebelettes just got over the line against Meath but the Premier County’s fortunes in 2021 have been poor, losing their Division 1 status.

We look ahead to all three games.
