PODCAST: SportsDaz Football (Wednesday, 20th July 2022)
Darren Kelly and Niamh Kindlon present the magazine show looking at the TG4 All-Ireland championships.
Schedule:
- 0:00 – Latest News/Zucar All-Ireland under 16 & minor championships
- 29:20 – Men’s Final – Galway vs Kerry, mood in the camp ahead of LGFA Finals the following week
It’s a gap week match wise but there’s still plenty to talk about. And we start by paying our respects to Ballymacarbry’s Aisling Kennedy who sadly passed away last week.
The Zucar under 16 finals are over with wins for Dublin, Kildare and Armagh. While it’s minor semi-finals night across three grades. We look back on last week and touch on what to expect tonight. And we also ask is the pathway for future players as good as it can be?
After the break, we look ahead to the All-Ireland men’s football final as Kerry face Galway on Sunday in Croke Park. The Kingdom are favourites for a first title in eight years. But the Tribesmen are known for stepping up on the big day even it it’s 21 years since their last appearance.
Finally, we get a feel for what the six camps are up to ahead of next week’s TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Finals. How are Kerry dealing with the hype? Will Meath use the blueprint that served them so well the last two years? Can Laois and Fermanagh deal with the Croke Park experience? And do Wexford and Antrim have any hang-ups from heavy defeats last September?
