Darren Kelly & Niamh Kindlon discuss the magazine show looking at the TG4 All-Ireland Championships.

Schedule:

  • 0:00 – Latest News (inc. Vikki Wall in Australia, and intermediate championship relegation)
  • 29:55 – Clare Farrell (Longford joint football captain)
  • 42:55 – Ruth Bermingham (Carlow football captain)
  • 59:55 – Senior Championship Predictions (inc. Donegal vs Waterford preview)
  • 1:26:40 – Preview – Galway vs Kerry

It’s a bumper show this week with so much to go through starting with the latest news.  Vikki Wall has confirmed she’s going to Australia and we look at how this impacts Meath.  While in the intermediate championship, it appears Down and Sligo are going to be relegated as provincial champions Leitrim and Kildare are exempt from the drop.

The Lilywhites went out of the championship following successive defeats to Longford and Roscommon, two teams who survived the relegation play-offs.  Both now take their quarter-final spots and we chat to Longford joint captain Clare Farrell about what this means to them.

There was one game in the junior championship last week and that kicked off in style with Carlow beating 2020 champions Fermanagh.  It sets that group up ahead of this weekend’s games.   Carlow captain Ruth Bermingham is with us to chat about their season.

Then we turn our attention to the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship focusing in on Saturday evening’s two LIVE games in Birr.  Donegal face Waterford at 5pm; before Galway clash with Kerry at 7.15pm.  Darren and Niamh look at what to expect.

And we also make our predictions for the overall championship.  Who do Darren and Niamh think will be in Croke Park on July 31st, and who will be the eight quarter-finalists?  All to be revealed.
