PODCAST: The Fair Green (Aoife Murray – Cork)

This week’s special guest on THE FAIR GREEN is Cork’s nine-time All-Ireland winning goalkeeper AOIFE MURRAY.

Aoife chats about her inter county career, extending back to the 1990s and the successes she enjoyed at minor and senior level.

The Cloughduv keeper discusses the game’s development, new rules, her hopes for the future, the role of the GPA, volleyball, football retirement, rugby success and injuries.

Aoife also talks about 2011 being a turning point, John Cronin, working under Paudie, the crew coming back to win more All-Irelands, Inniscarra, getting the captaincy and having her family at Croke Park when she lifted the O’Duffy Cup.

And she also names her ‘Fantastic Four.’
