Our first guest on ‘The Fair Green’ is All-Ireland winning Sarsfields camogie captain Niamh McGrath.
The three-time All-Star captained her club to a first ever All-Ireland title last March when they made it third time lucky against Slaughtneil in Croke Park.
Sarsfields only made their domestic breakthrough in 2016 but their younger players were showing signs of future success when they won the national Feile title nine years earlier.
Niamh has also come through the ranks with Galway winning All-Irelands at under 16, minor, intermediate and senior.
She chats to Darren Kelly about the upcoming club championship, how much their All-Ireland title means, returning to inter county action and her thoughts on the current state of camogie.
**’The Fair Green’ broadcasts every Wednesday (camogie) and Thursday (Ladies Football)
**Theme Song – Joseph McDade – National Duality
**Check out Ladies Football edition on Thursday – Brid O’Sullivan (Mourneabbey)
