PODCAST: The Fair Green (Connie Conway – Laois)
This week’s special guest on THE FAIR GREEN is Laois’ CONNIE CONWAY.
The ladies football pioneer talks about it all starting in the 1970s, serving as county chairperson, the evolution of the game, the disappointment of losing All-Ireland Finals, and the pride of representing Crettyard and Laois.
Connie also reflects on memories of her playing days, playing All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park, Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Semple Stadium, how close Laois came in 1993 and 1996, and 22 consecutive county finals.
And she also names her ‘Fantastic Four.’
