Brenda McAnespie has been described as a pioneer of Monaghan football and played an instrumental part in the county’s breakthrough All-Irelands in the 1990s.

Brenda has married family and football through her illustrious career and her legacy lives on with six children playing inter county. And her daughters line up for Emyvale in the upcoming Monaghan Senior Ladies Football Final.

We chat to Brenda about All-Ireland successes in Croke Park, similar victories with Monaghan Harps, and how winning on the national stage concluded a successful 30-year career.
